According to NYS OCFS Day Care Regulations, all child care providers and employees who work in a registered or licensed child care facility or home must have thirty (30) hours of training covering the ten (10) required training categories every two years. For new providers or employees, the first fifteen (15) hours of the thirty (30) must be completed within the first six (6) months of employment or initial registration. For programs/providers who receive a four-year registration/license, individuals must still complete thirty (30) hours of training every two years.
