Child Credential (CDA) Credential:

We offer a comprehensive training opportunity (100 hours) to assist candidates in obtaining their CDA credential.

According to NYS OCFS Day Care Regulations, all child care providers and employees who work in a registered or licensed child care facility or home must have thirty (30) hours of training covering the ten (10)      required training categories every two years. For new providers or     employees, the first fifteen (15) hours of the thirty (30) must be       completed within the first six (6) months of employment or initial      registration. For programs/providers who receive a four-year              registration/license, individuals must still complete thirty (30) hours of training every two years.

Help Paying for Training

  • The Educational Incentive Program (EIP) is a scholarship program funded by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (NY OCFS). Its purpose is to assist child care providers paying for professional development training and education they need to provide quality care to children. For more information click here.

 

  • The CSEA/VOICE Professional Development Training Program provides state approved training to meet licensing requirements at no cost to you with participating training organizations.  For more information click here.

CPR & 1st Aid trainings have to cover infant/child skills. Online training MUST have an in-person skills offering or you must obtain the skills portion on your own with a certified trainer. For training organizations approved by OCFS, visit their web site or contact your Registrar/Licensor before registering for a course!
