Tuesday November 24th, the Alzheimer’s Support Group in Jamestown met and for Thanksgiving, we practiced gratitude by making a “Gratitude Tree.”

Pictured here are a few caregivers who were given pieces of leaf paper to write one or two things that they are grateful for and place them on a branch of a tree.

Practicing gratitude, or writing daily in a journal helps to relieve caregiver stress by thinking of things that they are thankful for.

Monthly support groups are held in Jamestown, Westfield, and Dunkirk. There is also an online support group as well.
Please call the Alzheimer’s Support Services at COI @ 716-366-3335 x 1236 for more information.
