COI Employees Cathy Szukala and Paige Smith recently completed ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training), a two-day suicide first aid workshop which teaches individuals how to appropriately respond to a person who is having thoughts of taking their own life. Katie Knaak, Intensive Services Coordinator, was a co-facilitator of this training; Katie has been an ASIST trainer since 2016 and has co-facilitated five ASIST workshops. ...
