Local representatives from Northwest Bank recently presented a check in the amount of $5,000 to Chautauqua Opportunities for Development, Inc. (CODI). CODI is an affiliate organization of Chautauqua Opportunities, Inc. with a mission to create opportunities for business development. The donation will support the agency’s work providing technical assistance and loan capital to business start-ups and existing businesses that may have trouble securing financing through traditional lenders. CODI is certified by the U.S. Treasury Department as a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI). It has provided 91 business loans to entrepreneurs since its inception in 2003.
