Resources for Child Care Programs

Chautauqua Child Care Council provides many resources for child care programs such as technical assistance, mentoring, and two Resource Rooms, available to all child care modalities. NYS Office of Children and Family Services

  • A multi-faceted website that provides information about NYS policies and programs concerning Child Care Services.  Also contains the steps that must be followed to become a Certified Provider.

 

The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC)

  • This site is home to “the world’s largest organization working on behalf of young children,” and overviews the NAEYCs publications, membership requirements, and provides a list of position statements and standards. 

Zero To Three National Center for Infants, Toddlers, and Families

  • Zero to Three advocates that “Early Experiences Matter” and the site focuses on the health and development of infants and toddlers. 

The Educational Incentive Program (EIP)

  • The EIP program provides scholarships, grants and rebates which help child care providers obtain professional development and education.  The EIP also helps offset the cost MAT, health and safety training for new providers.  You can apply for these grants through their site.  A multi-faceted website that provides information about NYS policies and programs concerning Child Care Services. Also contains the steps that must be followed to become a Certified Provider.

 

Consumer Product Safety Commission 

  • This official website keeps up to date records of products that pose threats to consumers and their children. Specifically focusing on fire, electrical, chemical and mechanical hazards.

 

 

Children’s Defense Fund

  • A multi-faceted website that provides information about NYS policies and programs concerning Child Care Services. Also contains the steps that must be followed to become a Certified Provider.
