The “Caregiver Support Initiative for Underserved Communities” focuses on reaching out to individuals who are the primary caregivers for someone with Alzheimer’s Disease or a related dementia.

Services Provided: | ||
Outreach – Targets underserved individuals, rural areas and the Hispanic population throughout the area. | ||
Education and Support – Conducts education programs which include a variety of topics for caregivers of the community. |

Support Group – Groups meet monthly. Support Groups provide opportunities to share experiences, offer support, ideas, and resources. | ||
Assessments – Individual caregiver assessments are performed by an RN and education and resources are available to the caregiver. | ||
Respite Care – No Cost Respite services are available to provide relief to caregivers by providing a temporary reprieve from daily responsibilities. | ||
