We are calling all youth to help clean up the city!

Chautauqua Opportunities Inc.’s Youth Corps is having a “Park Clean Up Day" ! All youth between the ages of 14 and 22 are invited to join us on Wednesday May 25th at 5pm in Washington Park in Dunkirk, NY.

Outreach workers will provide the supplies and water for the day so you won’t have to bring anything with you! Help us come together and make a difference for the community!

Lead paint in older homes poisons over 100 children per year in Chautauqua County. Lead poisoning can cause permanent learning and behavior problems such as lower IQ and ADHD.

The Lead-Chautauqua Healthy Homes Program is a HUD funded partnership between Chautauqua Opportunities, Inc. and the Chautauqua County Department of Health and Human Services. "It’s the community that raises the money during our annual campaign, and it’s the community that decides where the money goes during our allocations process,” said Amy Rohler, executive director. “This year, we had significantly more requests for funding than money we had to allocate.
