PROGRAM: Weatherization
Description of Program / Services Provided:
Reduce energy consumption in eligible households through
the installation of energy saving materials.
Evaluation of combustible appliances
Eliminate health and safety problems associated
with carbon monoxide.
Insulation where possible.
ELIGIBILITY
Home owners must be income eligible, living in
the home, all taxes current, and utilities in their name. Landlords can call the site
location for more information. Land contracts and life-use
tenants can call the site location for more information.
History:
Funded by the Federal Department of Energy
through the Department of Housing and Community Renewal.
Over 10,000 dwellings have been weatherized throughout
Chautauqua County through COI since the program’s inception.

Client Documentation Required: Deed, Income documentation, most
current paid tax receipts, and most current utility bills.
