DIVISION: Youth & Family Services

SERVICE AREA: Someplace Special Child Care Center

Description of Program/Service Provided:

As a result of a collaboration with Chautauqua Opportunities, Inc., Early Care and Education Services (Head Start and Early Head Start), extended day childcare services are available through Someplace  Special Child Care Center before and after program hours for children ages 6 weeks to age 5.  The collaboration model includes co-location of classrooms which enhances continuity of care for children enrolled.

Quality child care is provided in a safe and nurturing learning environment by credentialed caregivers for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years of working or in school parents.  The curriculum is based on the individual needs of each child and includes age and developmentally appropriate school readiness activities.

Transportation may be available for children ages 3 to 5 years of age.

All locations are licensed by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services, and include indoor and fenced playgrounds for gross motor development.

A current child care services contractual agreement is held with the Chautauqua County Department of Social Services for families that may qualify for child care subsidies.
