PROGRAM: Home Performance with Energy
Star
Description of Program / Service Provided:
Home Performance with Energy Star is an innovative whole
house approach to improving comfort and energy efficiency in residential
homes.
Our Building Performance Institute certified personnel
will perform a comprehensive home energy audit and then make recommendations
for energy improvements.
Suggested measures may include insulation up
grades, air sealing to reduce heat loss, high efficiency heat equipment, and
Energy Star appliances and lighting.
History of the Program:
Chautauqua Energy Savers has had BPI certified energy auditors, shell
specialists, and heating technicians on staff since January of 2002, helping
to improve comfort, safety, and energy efficiency in our customer’s homes
throughout the county.

Days and Hours of Service:
Monday , Wednesday, Friday
8:30 am - 4:30 pm
Tuesday and Thursday
8:30 am - 6:00 pm
Fees Necessary For the Program:
There are subsidies
of up to 50% of approved work scope (up to $5,000) available for Assisted
Home Performance customers.
Eligibility
Requirements:
Home
must be owner occupied and a customer of either Niagara Mohawk or NYSEG
Intake
Procedure: Call for prequalification Client
Documentation Required:
Proof
of income, proof of ownership, and most recent utility (gas & electric)
bills.
