PROGRAM: Chautauqua Microenterprise Loan Fund

Description of Program / Service Provided:

Loan fund for small businesses with 5 or fewer employees including the owner.

Loan amounts are from $1,000 - $15,000. Interest rate at prime (+2%); payment terms - up to 6 years.

Strong technical assistance component with training provided as needed for both applicants and recipients.

Loans must have a positive impact on low/moderate income individuals either as recipients or through job creation.

History:

Partnership between COI, Chautauqua County, and the Dunkirk / Sheridan Empire Zone to meet the capital needs of traditionally underserved populations.
