What does Chautauqua Opportunities, Inc. do?
COI provides more than 65 programs that serve approximately
45,000 residents of Chautauqua County each year. There are currently four
divisions:: Youth & Family Services, ; Housing and Energy Conservation; Economic
Development; and Health
Services.
COI collaborates with other service providers, municipalities,
villages, towns and county government in meeting the needs of individuals and
families in and at risk of falling into poverty. COI, through its
affiliated corporation, Chautauqua Opportunities for Development, Inc. (CODI),
provides economic opportunities for individuals and families to accrue wealth
and get out of poverty. COI and CODI work together toward asset building
within our community (home ownership, small business development and/or
expansion, cottage industry development).
