PROGRAM: Homeownership Counseling and Education

Description of Program / Service Provided:

This HUD Certified program providers comprehensive housing counseling and educational programs for issues that face potential, new and current homeowners.  Emphasis on homebuyer programs, default/foreclosure prevention, financial literacy and reverse mortgage counseling.  Program specialists provide housing counseling, advocacy and linkages with mortgage lenders, realtors, legal advisors and agencies with available funds, grants and services.

Days and Hours of Service:
Monday , Wednesday, Friday
8:30 am - 4:30 pm

Tuesday and Thursday
8:30 am - 6:00 pm

Eligibility requirement: Counseling services available to any Chautauqua County Resident.  Specific grant programs have individual eligibility criteria.

Intake procedure: Call to schedule a program orientation, Homebuyer Education class or individual counseling session.

Client documentation required: Proof of Income & most recently filed tax return.
