Position Title: Teacher

Summary:  Assures the implementation and integration of the Head Start Performance Standards by planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities.    Assures adherence to NYS Daycare Licensing Regulations.  Serves as an active member of the COI team by supporting COI objectives.    Supports the site team and countywide program mission

Minimum Qualifications:   Associate’s degree (A.A.) in Early Childhood Education or equivalent from a two year College with a concentration in Early Childhood.  Adequate computer skills; knowledge of Internet software; and ability to generate reports.  Ability to organize and maintain an appropriate learning environment.  Ability to work well with parents of diverse backgrounds.  Must have valid NYS Driver’s license with the ability to travel throughout the county.  Must be able to obtain and maintain an SCR child abuse clearance, have a clear criminal conviction record, and obtain a health physical.

 

Position Title: Teacher Assistant

Positions Available:  (1) Dunkirk

Summary:  Performs any combination of following instructional tasks in the classroom to assisting teaching staff in establishing and maintaining a learning environment according to performance standards and program curriculum by performing a variety of tasks.

Minimum Qualifications:   High School Diploma or GED plus one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, mandated. Must obtain CDA credential and work towards obtaining an associate’s degree, with an Early Childhood Certification. AAS degree in Early Childhood Education preferred. Computer skills required. Must be able to obtain and maintain an SCR Child Abuse Clearance and have a clear criminal conviction record, as well as, health physical (biannually). Must meet OCFS training requirements and maintain an OCFS training log. Must be able to maintain substantial, individual supervision of children. Must have a current, valid NYS driver’s license and the ability to travel throughout the county.  Must have reliable transportation and an acceptable driving record. Must be able to occasionally lift 50lbs and have a flexible work schedule.

 

Position Title: Housing Rehabilitation Coordinator

Summary:  Full-time positions in Jamestown . Oversees the daily coordination of rehabilitation programs.  Assures all contracts and agreements are signed and are within program guidelines

Summary:  Will provided administrative support to Housing Rehabilitation Services. Will be responsible for performing basic bookkeeping and accounting tasks, and inventory tracking. Collects data needed for reports and monitoring for service area. Reviews all invoices, bills, vouchers, and daily staff work sheets, or other documents for corrections before entering into data base records. Calculates billing charges, and assigns billing numbers for tracking purposes. Prepares basic financial reports by compiling information. Prepare profit/loss statements for projects. Maintains purchase order system

Minimum Qualifications:   High school diploma or GED: equivalent experience desired, Associates Degree preferred. Strong interpersonal, communication and customer relations skills.  Must have accounting skills, computer skills and experience in QuickBooks preferred. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Access), data entry and spreadsheets in a windows environment.  Organizational, reporting skills and the ability to develop and maintain & engage in positive relationships with people from various backgrounds. Position Title: Energy Auditor/Write-up Specialist

Summary:  Audit residential housing, perform pre and post testing, do all necessary health and safety tests as required.  Inspection of units, a Write-up job specs and Cost estimates.  Analyzes blueprints, specifications, proposals and other documentation to prepare time, cost and labor estimates for products, projects or services.

Minimum Qualifications:   High School or GED required and five years working in field or equivalent experience.  Associates degree preferred.  Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measures using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.  Strong interpersonal, communication and customer relations skills.  Strong computer skills, including word processing, data entry and spreadsheet in a windows environment.  Must be goal oriented; have strong teaming skills and the ability to develop, maintain and engage in positive relationships with people from various backgrounds. Summary:  Position is responsible for performing Medical/Nutritional Health Assessments, and the provision of Nutrition Education, for the certification of WIC participants.  Organizing and providing Nutrition Education to MCHS clients; Preparation of Annual Nutrition Education Plan, and the development of the MCHS Newsletter.

Minimum Qualifications:   Masters or PHD in Nutrition or Public Health with a concentration in nutrition, a Registered Dietician or someone with a four year degree in nutrition, health related field or home economics with an emphasis in nutrition with one year WIC experience.  Experience in interviewing, counseling, and teaching in the health field preferred.  Must have current valid NYS Driver’s license and ability to travel throughout the county.  Bi-lingual (Spanish) helpful.

Summary:  Responsible for performing clerical activities that lead to the certification of WIC/Maternal & Child Health Services customers, including:  ascertaining and documentation of income, distribution of WIC checks and record-keeping according to funding source requirements.  Assist in the counseling/education process.  Assist in the collection of nutrition and health data and provides basic participant-centered nutrition education.

Summary:  The Youth Specialist I is a shift worker, who implements Safe House programming and Chautauqua Opportunities, Inc. (COI) policies and procedures in order to facilitate the day-to-day operations of the Safe House, provide customer service and assigned outreach services.  Supports program and agency mission by performing various duties.

Minimum Qualifications:   High school diploma or GED. AA, AAS degree preferred. Experience with youth required.  Must have strong interpersonal, communication and customer relations skills, and strong computer skills, including word processing, data entry and spreadsheet in a windows environment. Must be goal oriented and have the ability to develop, maintain & engage in positive relationships with people from various backgrounds. Bilingual preferred.
