SERVICE AREA: Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention & Services (APPS)
Description Program / Service Provided:
Provides educational & support services to
Chautauqua County residents under the age of 22 that are pregnant, parenting,
or interested in pregnancy prevention.
Services Provided
Self-sufficiency facilitation to assist in developing a
life plan and obtaining the resources necessary to meet personal goals.
Parenting and literacy education classes in cooperation
with Even Start
Tutoring services through Chautauqua Striders. Pregnancy
prevention education and peer support groups
“Growing Together” - In cooperation with BOCES, an
alternative education program for pregnant/parenting girls with associated
child care through Head Start

In operation since 1986. Funded by
the New York State Office of Children & Family Services (OCFS).
