Cummins, Inc. Employees Help Paint COI’s Safe House Rooms as Part of Company’s Community Involvement Project

 

Chautauqua Opportunities, Inc.’s Safe House, serving all of Chautauqua County’s youth, recently received a fresh coat of paint courtesy of the employees of Cummins, Inc.  Cummins, Inc. sponsored the community involvement effort. 

 

Safe House Director Bill Vogt said, “I, along with the Safe House employees, would like to extend a big thank you to Cummins, Inc. and all the employees who so generously volunteered their time.” 

 

Over a period of two days, nineteen Cummins, Inc. employees volunteered a total of seventy six hours, painting five bedrooms, one bathroom and the dining room.

 

The Safe House is a program of Chautauqua Opportunities, Inc. and provides emergency shelter, food, clothing, transportation, crisis counseling, self-sufficiency facilitation services, advocacy and referrals to at-risk youth age 17 and under.
