Russian Group Visits Chautauqua
Opportunities, Inc.
DUNKIRK – A
group of university students and visitors from Russia
visited Chautauqua Opportunities, Inc. (COI) today, as part of their tour
through the United States. The group, from Perm,
Russia; was brought to
the United States
by the Perm Mission Network in Jamestown, NY.
Perm
is about 300 miles south of the Arctic Circle.
The visitors used the opportunity to better understand
anti-poverty efforts in the United States
as compared to Russian initiatives.
This is the eighth Russian
delegation to visit the Chautauqua region through the Perm Mission Network. The group includes a pre-law college student and
a foreign language college student, three foreign language teachers, and a
foreign language professor.
The group took part in a luncheon at noon at Connections North on 10825
Bennett Road in the town of Dunkirk
and then toured the facility to learn about COI’s many services.
