Chautauqua Child Care Council to Hold

Provider Appreciation Day Celebration

 

The Chautauqua Child Care Council will be holding a Provider Appreciation dinner on Thursday, May 5, 2005 to recognize child care providers and early care and education professionals.  The dinner will take place at the Cassadaga Legion Post 1280 in Cassadaga beginning at 6:30pm.

 

Over 225 providers representing licensed child care centers, registered school-age programs and licensed/registered family and group family day care providers, and community members are expected to attend the event. Providers celebrating benchmark years of service will be recognized, including:

 

5 years – Krys Baggiano, Karen Gill, Melissa Hultberg, Elaine Mansfield, Elena

               Marsala, Julie Miles, Shawn Price, Brenda Riley, Linda Swanson, Jen

               Vaillancourt, Janet Valentin, Rosalie VanGuilder, Carrie Willis,

Providers celebrating benchmark years of service will receive gifts and certificates from Council staff in recognition of their dedication and service to children and families in Chautauqua County.  A proclamation from County Executive Mark Thomas also will be read that proclaims May 5th as Chautauqua County Provider Appreciation Day.

 

The Chautauqua Child Care Council, a program of Chautauqua Opportunities, Inc. is a child care resource and referral program offering referrals to parents in search of quality care, assistance for parents in paying for care; child and adult care food program for licensed/registered family and group family care providers; training and technical assistance for providers; assistance in becoming a registered provider, community education, and outreach to local businesses on developing family-friendly benefit packages.  The Council is funded by the NYS Bureau of Early Childhood Services and the Chautauqua County Department of Social Services.
