Chautauqua County Head Start Male Involvement Council to Sponsor Free Family
Concerts
DUNKIRK – As
part of the “Month of the Young Child” celebration this month, the Chautauqua
County Head Start Male Involvement Council is sponsoring two free family
concerts for all children and their families enrolled in the program.
The Hill Brothers, individually known as Jerry Raven, Judd
Sunshine and Dave Ruch, began performing in 1977 for
young audiences of Western New York are the featured
entertainers. The group is now well
known throughout New York, Pennsylvania,
Ohio and beyond for its high
quality arts-in-education concerts, performing at over 250 school assembly
programs each year.
The Jamestown
area event will take place Monday, April 25th at Connections South
on 2887 Fluvanna-Townline
Road and the Dunkirk
concert will take place Tuesday April 26th at ECCC (Holy Trinity) on
Central Avenue. Both concerts begin at 6:00 P.M. with pizza and drinks being served at beginning
at 5:15 P.M.
The Male Involvement Program is based on the principle that
both mothers & fathers play an essential role in the healthy development of
children. The Male Involvement Program
is governed by an 8-member Council made up of fathers / significant males with
children enrolled in Head Start.
