PROGRAM: Migrant and
Seasonal Farm Worker Health Program
Description of Program/Service
Provided:
Staff provides outreach in the North County region to locate
farm workers at worksites and housing locations.
Works with other existing human service agencies to address
the barriers most often encountered by migrant workers.
A Migrant Farm Worker is a person who has moved across state
lines in search of agricultural work within the past two years.
Serves thirteen townships
throughout Northern Chautauqua County.
Provides translation services while obtaining health services.
Provides transportation to and from medical and dental appointments
Referrals are made for provision
of education and screening activities, and also immunizations and vaccinations.
Enables the migrant community
to access primary and preventative health services.
Services are free of charge.
