DEPARTMENT: Housing & Energy ConservationPROGRAM: Drinking and Wastewater Description of Program / Service Provided: This program is designed to assist homeowners in repair or
replacement of septic systems, water wells, and chlorination systems up to
$6,000.
To date, the program has completed 54 homes throughout
Chautauqua County. Cities of Dunkirk and Jamestown are not eligible for
program. Eligibility Requirements: System(s) must
be in violation with the Chautauqua County Health Department, there is a 3-year
retention placed on the home, and you must meet income guideline based on
household size. Fee: Homeowner will contribute $200 toward the
project. Documentation Required: Proof of ownership and a
full marketable title, proof of income, and your most recent paid tax receipt
and proof of homeowner's insurance. Call for pre-qualification Site Location:
