COI Honors Home Care Employees
Chautauqua Opportunities, Inc. (COI) held an employee recognition ceremony
on December 9, 2005 to honor the work done by the agency's Home Care field
staff. The ceremony, which included a luncheon buffet prepared by the
office staff, was held at Connections North in the town of Dunkirk.
The event was well attended by over 5- personal care aides on staff, as well as the office staff and several other employees of COI. An awards ceremony was held following the luncheon honoring employees of the month for 2005, and those who have been with the company for 5,7, and 15 years.
The award for "Employee of the Year" Went to Home Health Aide Jane Stelmach , of Dunkirk, for her never-ending dedication to providing professional and compassionate health services to her patients. "Employee of the Month" awards were given to Evelyn Norris, Sharon Snyder, Jane Stelmach, Anna Vecchio, Dawn Ransom, Ada Bauza, Patty Kachermeyer, Donna Fox, Felicia Wiant, Ron Sobczak, and Laura Miller.
COI Home Care Manager Anne Massar, RN states "Our annual employee recognition ceremony is our opportunity to recognize the hard work and dedication of our Home Care field staff. Their commitment to our community - helping individuals to remain in their own homes and maintain their dignity, despite illness, aging or disabilities, has made a difference for may families throughout Chautauqua County".
The even concluded with a drawing for the Door Prize, donated by COI staff , and won by Karen Logan.
