Construction crews are nearing completion with work on the Fredonia Commons apartment complex located at 450 Temple Street in Fredonia. Fredonia Commons will be fully maintained and have an on-site Residential Coordinator to assist tenants and community with their needs. The complex includes 36 units designated as affordable housing. The completed project will include 12 one bedroom apartments and 24 two bedroom apartments. Monthly rental fees include: a stove, refrigerator, one bath, ample parking, access to laundry facilities along with referral services, a commons area for tenants along with water and heat costs. Ground was broken for the project back in November 2003 and is on schedule to begin its first phase of openings in early July 2004. As the project continues to move ahead as scheduled, more apparent will become available through the end of the summer months.

Applicants for Fredonia Commons will need to meet affordable housing income guidelines. the yearly income guidelines are as follow:

1 person - $19,625

2 person - $22,455

3 person - $25,250

4 person - $29,040

Any individuals or families interested in becoming tenants at Fredonia Commons will need to go through an application process. Applications must be received by June 30th. Ann applications received after June 30th will be considered on a first come, first serve bases.
