COI's Summer feeding program another success

COI Hires Fredonia Commons Manager

Chautauqua Opportunities Summer Feeding Program proved to be another success this summer with its efforts in providing nutritional meals to the  youth of Chautauqua County. The summer feeding program kicked off at the end of June and concluded at the end of August.  During those months, a total of 25 sites throughout the county served 8,342 breakfasts, 27, 414 lunches and 8,193 snacks.  Summer feeding sites included the Court Street Apartment Complex, the Village of Ripley Recreational Department, Jamestown City Parks, Dunkirk City Playgrounds, Salvation Army,  Boys & Girls Clubs, Stockton Recreational Programs and Dunkirk City Schools.  The head cooks at both the Connections North and Connections South kitchens insured the quality of the meals and their delivery. Teresa Abbey and Roxanne Tenamore along with their kitchen staff delivered on their promise to provide the children of Chautauqua County healthy meals.
